The second round of the 2025 SuperMotocross World Championship SMX Playoffs will take place this weekend in The Dome at America’s Center in St. Louis, Missouri. Check out the list below for a look at who’ll be missing the action due to injury.
450SMX Class
Jason Anderson – Health Issues | Out
Anderson is out for the remainder of the year due to ongoing health issues.
Colt Nichols – Thumb | Out
Nichols recently had surgery to fix a torn UCL in his right thumb. He’s out for the SMX Playoffs.
Aaron Plessinger – Illness | Out
Plessinger had hoped to return for the SMX Playoffs after bowing out of Pro Motocross early with ongoing health issues, but his body wasn’t ready to go yet. He’s out for the year.
Malcolm Stewart – Back, Leg | In
Stewart tweaked his back and hurt his leg in Concord. He tried to suit up and race but just didn’t have the strength. We received word from the team that Stewart "should be able to race," and in an Instagram post Stewart stated, “Time to rest up and reset for next weekend."
250SMX Class
Julien Beaumer – Back | Out
Beaumer suffered a burst fracture of his L3 vertebra during qualifying in Concord. He’s had surgery and is now in the recovery process.
Mikkel Haarup – Collarbone | Out
Haarup is out of action due to a broken collarbone, sustained at Unadilla. He aims to return to racing at the Monster Energy FIM Motocross of Nations.
Chance Hymas - ACL | Out
Hymas is out for the SMX Playoffs with a torn ACL, which he sustained at High Point.
Garrett Marchbanks – Knee | In
Marchbanks went down in the first moto and injured his knee. He got it checked out early in the week and is planning on lining up in St. Louis.
Michael Mosiman – Ankle, Head | Out
Mosiman went down hard at Unadilla and sustained a concussion and a cut above his eye that required stitches. He will not be racing any SMX Playoff rounds.
Jalek Swoll – Leg | Out
Swoll is out for the SMX Playoffs due to a torn calf sustained at Ironman.
