The following press release is from the SMX League:

Field of 25 SMX Next World All-Stars Set to Converge for Postseason Competition During SMX World ChampionshipTM Playoffs
Championship on the Line for the Sport’s Elite Prospects with a Pair of Races at zMAX Dragway and The Dome at America’s Center

CONCORD, N.C. – The SMX League has announced the field of prospects that will comprise the SMX Next World All-Stars for the 2025 season, where a championship will be on the line for the sport’s most promising young athletes. A pair of World All-Stars races will be contested in the journey to crown the first SMX Next World Champion, with Playoff 1 on September 6 from zMax Dragway in Concord, North Carolina, and the Final on September 13 from The Dome at America’s Center in St. Louis, both of which will be run as part of the SMX World Championship Playoffs.

The lineup for the SMX Next World All-Stars consists of the top-finishing A & B class racers from throughout the 2025 racing season, which includes the top five finishers from 250 Pro Sport & 250 B at the Monster Energy AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship at Loretta Lynn’s, the top five finishers from the SMX Next – Supercross National Championship in Pittsburgh, and the podium finishers from each SMX Next – Scouting Moto Combine event held at Hangtown, RedBud, and Ironman. Any remaining positions in the field were filled via invite, based on results from major amateur events around the world.

“The SMX Next World All-Stars will be the ultimate showcase of the exceptional talent possessed by the most elite prospects in SMX. We’ve been privileged to watch the progression of these young athletes over the course of the year and now it’s their time to compete for a World Championship,” said Mike Muye, Sr. Director of Supercross, Feld Motor Sports. “These two races will bring these future stars into the postseason spotlight, where the world can witness the bright future that lies ahead for the sport. Each year the World All-Stars have stolen the show during the SMX Playoffs and I won’t be surprised if they leave us in awe once again.”

A new format will provide a heightened level of tension and excitement for each World All-Stars race, with single points on the line at Playoff 1 and double points up for grabs at the Final. The racer who emerges with the highest point total in St. Louis will ultimately be crowned SMX Next World All-Stars Champion and awarded a No. 1 plate. These races will also add to the high-energy playoff atmosphere of the SMX World Championship, as a complement to the star-studded fields in both the 450cc and 250cc classes. To help distinguish the SMX Next World All-Star from their professional counterparts, each All-Star racer’s motorcycle will carry hi-vis purple numbers on white backgrounds.

Headlining the field is the 2025 Nicky Hayden AMA Motocross Horizon Award recipient Enzo Temmerman (Visalia, California). The Monster Energy Kawasaki Team Green racer will carry the most accolades into World All-Stars, where his distinction as the best and most promising prospect is complemented by an SMX Next – Supercross victory in Birmingham, a third in the SMX Next – Supercross National Championship, a pair of AMA National Championships at Loretta Lynn’s in both 250 Pro Sport and Open Pro Sport, and an SMX Next – Scouting Moto Combine win at Ironman. He’ll be joined by fellow SMX Next winners from this past season in Altus Motorsports/BLU CRU Yamaha’s Kade Johnson (Hideaway, Texas), who won SMX Next – Supercross in Foxborough, and Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing’s Kayden Minear (Perth, Western Australia), who won SMX Next – Scouting Moto Combine at Hangtown. Other athletes who will surely be contenders for the championship include Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing’s Caden Dudney (Athens, Texas), Rockstar Energy Husqvarna’s Landon Gibson (Peachtree City, Georgia), and Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing’s Carson Wood (Zephyrhills, Florida).

“There is no doubt that this group of talented young athletes are the absolute top prospects in SMX,” said Tim Cotter, Vice President, MX Sports Pro Racing. “Several showed out early on during SMX Next – Supercross, while others emerged this past summer during SMX Next – Scouting Moto Combine, not to mention a thrilling week of racing for many at Loretta Lynn Ranch just over a month ago. We even welcomed a few of these racers onto the starting gate at select rounds of the Pro Motocross Championship. Collectively, they represent the best and brightest of the sport and we are excited to give them a deserving platform to showcase their talents to a global audience.”
