Jorge Prado Takes to Instagram to Recap Pro Motocross Season: “It was a very tough season to say the least... Never felt comfortable on the bike”

Another race weekend, another day of Jorge Prado drama within the Monster Energy Kawasaki truck. As we keep hearing there is tension between the two sides amid the Spanish rider’s three-year deal, Saturday’s AMA Pro Motocross Championship finale might have hit a low point.
In the morning qualifying sessions, the top riders were putting down blazing fast lap times, then, there was Prado. The #70’s top time this session was a 2:03.709, which was 11.842 seconds slower than P1 overall Jett Lawrence. Prado’s time was 43rd fastest overall, not making the top 36 cut off for the motos. However, he did get a guaranteed spot on the gate since he is inside the top ten in championship points (sitting sixth in the standings), per the AMA Motocross rulebook. So, he did not have to race the LCQ.
He then had the very last gate pick and the very outside gate for the first moto, although he got a good jump and was inside the top ten. But he went backwards in both motos, like he has all summer.
Prado finished 12th, landing 11-12 finishes for tenth overall. He ended the season sixth in the 450 Class Championship with a season-best fifth overall (5-6 finishes) at both the Southwick and Ironman Nationals. Again, most of the motos he was going backwards. Prado has a net position loss of -104 positions from the holeshot line to moto finishes.

He has a net position loss in 13/20 motos.
The highest net position gain for him in a moto is just +3 in Hangtown Moto 2 https://t.co/5ozoaSUKt9
On Sunday, Prado took to Instagram to recap his season:
“P-6 Overall in the @promotocross standings.
It was a very tough season to say the least.
Cruising around every single race was heartbreaking for me, especially knowing my capabilities…
Never felt comfortable on the bike, not even a bit! This builds to an unsafe feeling on it.
Didn’t expect this year to go this way at all.
Happy to be in one piece and fit.
Hopefully we’re back where we belong soon 🫡
Note: With cruising I meant, that I couldn’t ride to my full potential , even tho I gave my 100% and had to set myself to ride on a safe speed.”
There have been reports from the pits that Prado is working to get out of the remaining two years of his Kawasaki deal and possibly move to the Red Bull KTM team. Steve Matthes is reporting Prado will finish the final three rounds of the season, the SuperMotocross World Championship (SMX) Playoffs, then be done with Kawasaki. Without Jason Anderson, who is out for the remainder of the year with ongoing health issues, Prado is the sole Monster Energy Kawasaki rider for the playoffs. From what Matthes and others are reporting, this has turned from an "If" he got out of his Kawasaki deal to "When" he gets out of the deal.
I think they will make him race SMX & then he gone. https://t.co/4wMp0Se6UT
