Frankfurt. Long awaited and now officially confirmed: Ken Roczen will be the third rider of Team Germany for the 2025 Monster Energy FIM Motocross of Nations, taking place on October 4–5 at the legendary “Ironman Raceway” in Indiana (USA). With Ken Roczen (MXGP), Simon Längenfelder (MX2) and Maximilian Spies (Open), Team Germany is now complete.
Roczen with start number 16 in the MXGP class
This year, 31-year-old Roczen also obtained U.S. citizenship in addition to his German nationality, which would have made him eligible to ride for Team USA as well. However, following his recovery from injury, Roczen has now confirmed his participation for Germany. Last weekend, the superstar showed impressive speed in his comeback race at the U.S. Pro Motocross Championship. Roczen won the MXGP individual classification at the 2023 MXoN in France and knows the Ironman Raceway very well.
“I am excited to be a part of Team Germany again for the 2025 Motocross of Nations. Obviously it is a super special event, you represent your country and it is also really cool to have it back in the USA here, close to my home. I am excited to race at Ironman. It is a really technical track. It will be good to line up with the MXGP guys and other racers from around the world once again. Hoping to do well, I will give it everything I have. I have great teammates and we have a strong team going into 2025, so let’s get it going,” said Roczen.
Team management statement For team managers Marcel Dornhöfer and Karsten Schneider, Roczen was the number one choice for the MXGP class. “We were in contact with Ken and his team constantly. He showed his interest to race for us early on, but just like him, we had to wait and see how his injury recovery progressed. Now we are even happier – the wait was worth it. With Ken, Simon and Maximilian we once again have a strong line-up that combines experience and fresh ambition,” said the team management.
