Hard to believe it's been 50 years since the first Blackwater 100, which took place in 1975 in the tiny town of Davis, West Virginia. Once known as "the Toughest Race in America" it was a 100-mile slog through the mud, rocks, rivers and swamps of Canaan Valley. It was also the birth of what is now the Progressive Grand National Cross Country Series, better known as GNCC. To document the history of the notoriously fun and demanding event Racer Productions has teamed with esteemed motorcycle documentary filmmaker Todd Huffman of Pipeline Digital Media to tell the story of the Blackwater 100. Here's a sizzle reel that was produced for last weekend's announcement at the GNCC Racing awards ceremony.
