  • Host Grindstone Friesen Group Supercross Team 2025 Roster Announcement
Anaheim, CA Anaheim 1 (A1)Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship

The following press release is from Host Grindstone:

Breaking News!

Host Grindstone Friesen Group Supercross team is going into their second year for the West Coast Supercross Season signing Dylan Walsh from New Zealand and Max Sanford! With a unique twist of support for the team!

Team owner and trainer Cari Schehr says” After an unfortunate accident for Dylan Walsh at the open season last year at A1 I wanted to give Dylan a shot at showing the results he’s capable of. With the work ethic and drive from both Max and Dylan and being able to train them both for the upcoming season. I’m excited to see their growth and grow this team together from ground zero with these guys!”

Said Dylan Walsh: “Really excited to be back with the Host Grindstone Frieson Group team this coming season. I love the bike and enjoy the team vibe. Obviously last year didn’t go to plan with my injury so feel like we have some redemption to do."

Said Max Sanford: "I’m so happy to continue with Host Grindstone Friesen Group Team going into ‘25. This is where I want to be, and I’m surrounded by people who all share the same goal!”

With the challenges of finding the support needed to power a race team during these times, owner of Grindstone compound training facility and team owner Cari Schehr has thought outside the box and has gained traction in the outside world.

The most interesting part about the backing of this team lies deeper than just racing. Many of the sponsors are families of the kids that have been training at the Grindstone Compound for many years! The relationships that have formed and the transformations of each athlete on all levels has been amazing and had created a unique partnership for all parties! With a variety of sponsors this season ranging from a Travel center station in Quebec, HOST hotel & depanneur, pharmaceutical company from Redding, Friesen Group, Costa Rica travel center costaricacollection.com and some tasty miniature apples from Washington ROCKIT APPLE, JLRay roofing company and Cat exteriors the team is getting fueled and ready for take off!!! Look forward to seeing the team evolve! Follow the progress @hostgrindstonefriesengroup.

John Friesen and the Executive Chairman for Friesen Group mentioned:

"We are a family-owned business founded in 1957. Ingrained in our DNA is a passion for helping others, and we have been supporting our customers for many years. We enjoy assisting in our community through the Friesen Foundation, and have recently been focused on helping our Youth.

So when Grindstone asked us to be a sponsor, the answer was an easy yes. Grindstone has an amazing supercross pro team, amateur outdoor motocross team and motocross training facility.

But Grindstone is much more than this…their focus is also on helping Youth become incredible adults.

The force behind this massive effort is Cari Scher, owner/operator of Grindstone. Cari’s relentless passion for the sport of motocross as a woman, along with her focus on making our Youth great, is unparalleled.

Friesen Group greatly appreciates the opportunity to be a part of Grindstone!

Stop by and see the team this season and let us know what your hopes and dreams are for the future."
