On Monday, just two days after the 2024 SuperMotocross World Championship (SMX) finale in Las Vegas, Nevada, Feld Motor Sports started releasing teasers of the schedule for the 2025 Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship.
Feld Motor Sports announced the four events Monday morning, followed by the next four rounds Monday afternoon (taking the total to eight confirmed rounds). On Tuesday morning, rounds nine through 12 were announced, followed by the final five rounds on Tuesday afternoon. By Tuesday afternoon around 4 p.m., we had the full list of hosting cities for 2025.
Again, we will see more details on Thursday, but we have a few things to note here:
-The Anaheim 1 SX will actually be on the second Saturday of the new year.
-Two Anaheim SX rounds.
-No northern California round this year.
-The Daytona SX will be the first weekend in March. It will be the 54th Daytona SX event in AMA Supercross history.
-The Pittsburgh SX returns for the first time since the 1983 event at Three Rivers Stadium (which was demolished…over 20 years ago). This is a long-awaited return. Acrisure Stadium (home of the NFL team the Pittsburgh Steelers, shown in the main image) is expected to host this round, which will be an all-new venue to the series. Good luck predicting the weather for that one though!
-The Foxborough SX and East Rutherford SX rounds were usually alternating with one another, but both are on the schedule for ’25.
-Four East Coast locations will be nice on the travel schedule. Birmingham to Seattle back to Foxborough will not be easy.
-Birmingham SX returns for the second straight year.
Check out the cities that will host the 17 rounds of supercross in 2025.
