On Saturday, the second playoff round of the SuperMotocross World Championship (SMX) took over Texas Motor Speedway. The temperature was high—and so were the stakes, as this round was worth double points—and the action on the track was hot as well. Haiden Deegan (Yamaha) took both moto wins, starting the SMX Playoffs by winning all four motos and both overalls as riders shuffled for positions behind him. Tom Vialle (KTM) took second overall after 3-2 finishes as Jo Shimoda (Honda) rounded out the overall podium with 2-3 finishes.
In the 450SMX Class, it was Hunter Lawrence’s day as the Honda HRC Progressive rider earned his first premier class overall win via 1-3 moto finishes. Chase Sexton (KTM) finished second overall with 4-1 finishes as Jett Lawrence (Honda) claimed third overall with 3-2 finishes.
In the Supermini World All-Stars race, Brody Moss (KTM) took the main event win over Wyatt Duff (KTM) and 2023 Supermini SMX main event winner Carson Wood (Kawasaki).
After the race, all nine riders spoke to the media during the post-race press conference.
