MXON TEAM SWITZERLAND PRE-SELECTION UNVEILED
The Motocross of Nations will be held this year on October 4-5-6 in Matterley Basin, UK.
Last spring, the CEO of Swiss Moto, Rolf Enz, presented a top-notch team to support the Swiss team this year. Mat Rebeaud (Team Manager), Diego Clément and Fabian Tellenbach will accompany the riders for the 2024 edition.
Switzerland does things differently and thoughtfully. A preliminary selection of five riders for the Motocross of Nations has been made. To keep the suspense, the final selection, which will include only three riders, will be announced after the national Grand Prix in Frauenfeld (TG) this weekend.
The five riders have distinguished themselves through their performances at both international and national levels. They are:
Jeremy Seewer: Currently in 5th place in the MXGP World Championship, riding this year in the team of ex. Formula 1 driver Kimi Räikkönen. He has achieved many respectable successes this year and definitely has the potential to be on the box in his categorie.
Valentin Guillod: Valentin is already a permanent guest in the top 10 of the premier class. He can carry his momentum from last season into the 2024 season and continue to move forward. Even a heavy crash in the Czech Republic could not stop the 9th-placed rider in this year's MXGP championship. The experienced rider has a lot of motivation and wants to take his momentum into the “Nations”.
Arnaud Tonus: An experienced and passionate rider, a young father, we known him for his great technique and immense experience in MXGP with several podiums in the big boys classes. With multiple participations at the Motocross of Nations, he currently dominates the Swiss championship in the premier class (after winning in 23'), once again proving that he is one of the best riders in the country. With a committed heart to representing Switzerland at the highest level, Arnaud Tonus continues to be a key figure in motocross.
Nico Greutmann: Nico is shaking up the ADAC MX Masters Youngster Cup this year and has his name at the top of the championship standings after winning several races. The Red Plate was one of his childhood dreams. He has definitely earned it, the title is within reach with his Cat Moto Bauerschmidt Husqvarna. He was also able to make his mark in the European Championship in Sweden, finishing in the top 10.
Kevin Brumann: Kevin is collecting points in the premier class of the World Championship this year. He continues to make progress on his Sixty-Seven Husqvarna and already has 34 championship points to his name. At the age of 20, he is definitely a promise for the future; his current form and speed are just right.
In the selection process, both the established riders of recent years were taken into account, supplemented by two young up-and-coming riders who have already been able to set one or two exclamation marks.
The official MXoN Team Switzerland will be announced on Thursday, August 29 at 8.00 pm. The highly motivated support squad is focused on the upcoming event so that the riders can seamlessly build on the 2023 wave of success. Specific goals for this year's event will be communicated when the official team is announced.

TEAM LATVIA RIDERS LINEUP FOR MONSTER ENERGY FIM MXON IN MATTERLEY BASIN!
Team Latvia has announced their rider line up for the 2024 Monster Energy FIM Motocross of Nations that will take place in Matterley Basin on the 4th, 5th and 6th of October.
The young Latvian line-up will have all their chance to get a good results in at the MXoN.
MXGP - Mairis Pumpurs
MX2 - Karlis Reisulis
MX Open - Edvards Bidzans
Latvia’s 2024 Valdis Seratinskis, the head of the National Team of the Year:
This year, we have selected this year’s strongest motocross riders in the National Team – Mairus Pumpurs, who is versatile, even taking part in international motocross stages, has shown good and notable results. He looked very good on the track also in the Madona round of the Latvian Championship. Karlis Albert Reisulis is our current World Championship TOP rider in MX2 class. Edvards Bidzans is strong on the big motorcycle, as we also saw, in the final stage of the Latvian Championship in Madona, Edvards Bidzans showed a very good result – 1. a place in the MX1 class. As well as in international European stages, he rides very well and stable. Pauls Jonas will not start this year due to an injury sustained in the Latvian team. This is the composition of our team this year, the main task is to qualify for the A final and wish our athletes success this year!
Roberts Justs, the coach of the Latvian National Team:
Unfortunately, Paul Jonass will not be able to participate in the Latvian National Team due to injury. Wishing him a successful recovery. In terms of age, we have a relatively young lineup of riders. I think this is a good one.
Starting with Karlis Reisulis who is showing very good performance in MX2 class. He also did well on this Matterley Basin track. Edward Bidzans, who has successfully switched to a 450cc motorcycle and is progressing very well every weekend. I think Edward will also continue his progress and will be even better on a motorcycle by the time of Motocross of Nations, as he is now. The third rider – Mairis Pumpurs, who showed good performance in the European Championship stages, where he fought for the TOP10 places. He has also now stepped on a 450cc motorcycle and we saw that he can show good speed.
All athletes have another month to prepare, so I think it is only positive for the Latvian team. Both Edward and Mairis will be able to prepare well and also Karlis, I think, will keep good form until then. The track may not be the most handy for Latvian athletes. Last time – 2017. in the year when the Motocross of Nations took place in England at the Matterley Basin motocross, the Latvian team was unable to qualify. It is with deep “spurs”, big jumps. England will be rainy in October, mud. I think A final is real for our national team and this task should be accomplished. Then you have to fight for each place further. Mairis has also ridden this track.
Last year showed good performance in the European Championship EMX250 class. The positive thing for the Latvian team is that Karls and Mairis already know this track.”
MONSTER ENERGY FIM MXON TEAM DENMARK ANNOUNCED
Team Denmark has been announced for defending the national flag in United Kingdom with three international riders as :
Mads Fredsøe (MXGP – #115)
Mikkel Haarup (MX2 – #116)
Nicolai Skovbjerg (MXOpen – #117)
National Team Denmark coach Emil Larsen :
There have been several obvious Danish drivers to choose from who have done well throughout the season. In the end, we have selected a relatively young team, which I am convinced has great sporting results ahead of them for the next several years.
When we look at them individually, Mads Fredsøe has shown a nice development over the season with good results in both the EMX and World Championship events and in other international races. Mikkel Haarup is riding well at the World Championship, and even when it is difficult, he has the speed and experience to get good results. And Nicolai Skovbjerg has had good stability by e.g. EMX, and not least he has just become Danish champion in A-MX2.
So I believe that the team will do well at MXoN in October, and of course they hope to see a lot of Danish fans standing and cheering at Matterley Basin.
