Shane McElrath Joins MaddParts.com Kawasaki Race Team for Remainder of 2024 SMX
Yesterday, we posted news that Steve Matthes had reported: Shane McElrath’s time with the HEP Motorsports Suzuki team had come to an end. Matthes said McElrath has signed with the MaddParts.com Kawasaki Race Team for 2025 and we might see the #12 on a Kawasaki KX450 this weekend at the ninth round of the AMA Pro Motocross Championship. Today, Bubba Pauli’s Kawasaki team confirmed the news: McElrath has joined the team for the remainder of the 2024 SuperMotocross World Championship (SMX). McElrath currently sits 13th in the 450SMX standings, well within the qualifying cutoff to get into the top 20 as he looks to get a head start with his new team for the 2025 SMX season.
