Monster Energy Yamaha’s Aaron Plessinger announced on Instagram that he sustained a broken heel in a crash on Saturday in the 450SX main event at round 10 of Monster Energy AMA Supercross at Daytona.
In the 450SX main event, Plessinger made a mistake in the rhythm section and was shot over his handlebars. He jumped off the bike and landed feet first into the next jump. He was able to limp off the track before being taken off by the Alpinestars Mobile Medical Unit.
“Well.. as everyone seen I had a little get off in the main tonight, ended up breaking my heel,” he wrote on Instagram. “Not much info right now just xrays but I’ll keep y’all updated. Thanks for the love and support!”

After a slow start to his rookie season, Plessinger was coming off a career-high fifth last weekend in Atlanta. He is currently tenth in 450SX points.
The team is also currently without Justin Barcia, who missed the last two races due to a concussion.
We will have more information as it is known.
