Over the weekend at the MXGP of Belgium at Lommel, Team Belgium named their team for the 2018 Motocross of Nations at RedBud. Clement Desalle, Jago Geerts, and Jeremy Van Horebeek will represent the Red Knights this October. Julien Lieber and Kevin Strijbos have been named reserves.

Desalle, currently third in MXGP in the FIM Motocross World Championship, has not competed for the team since 2013, the last time Belgium won the overall with a team of Desalle, Van Horebeek, and Ken De Dycker.

Van Horebeek is a longtime member of the team and helped lead Belgium to a fourth-place finish last year with Strijbos and Brent van Doninck.

This year will mark the first time Jago Geerts, currently seventh in MX2, has competed for the team.
