Ryan Villopoto Selected as New Operator of Straddeline ORV Park

According to KXRO, a Washington-based news radio station, Grays Harbor County Commissioners have selected Ryan Villopoto and Brent Davis as the new operators of Straddeline ORV Park located in McCleary, Washington.

Per the report, “contracts still need to be finalized but Villopoto and Davis’ company, Pacific Northwest MX LLC, was selected at yesterday’s special meeting as the new operators of the park.”

Back in October, we asked Villopoto about the rumors that he might take over a track. "There might be an opportunity of something coming up that we would be taking over a lease of a local place up near home that has the track, amenities, bathrooms, and an off-road side of it too," said Villopoto. "That might be something that interests me. And I’d get to run the dozer and do this and do that. It wouldn’t necessarily be solely the motorcycle side of it all. There is a lot more to it. It could be something just to kind of stay busy. It could be kind of fun to be around that. We’ll see."

Villopoto, who retired from professional racing in 2015, is a native of Poulsbo and raced the track as a kid.
