Australian Chad Reed has won the opening night of the 2016 AUS-X Open in Sydney.

With his second place finish, Brayton clinched the SX1 Australian Supercross Championship.
Australian Jay Marmont took third ahead of Cooper Webb. The out-of-retirement Ryan Villopoto finished sixth.
