Due to injuries sustained by Jason Anderson and Max Nagl at last weekend’s Motocross of Nations in Italy, Husqvarna has been forced to make a significant change in its lineup ahead of the inaugural SMX Riders' and Manufacturers' Cup in Germany on October 8.
Replacing Anderson and Nagl will be Christophe Charlier and American, Thomas Covington. They join team captain, Zach Osborne, on the team.
Charlier and Osborne will compete aboard 450s, while Covington will race a 250.
“Despite the unfortunate injuries to two of our main riders, we can say that we’re still very happy about our rider lineup for the SMX Riders' and Manufacturers' Cup,” said Robert Jonas, vice president of Husqvarna Motorsport. “We fully trust and support the event and are looking forward to a great night of racing. We believe it can be the first step towards further growth of our sport. We look forward to the competition and meanwhile we wish a very quick and full recovery to both Max and Jason.”
