The FIM World Motocross Championship will move from Charlotte, North Carolina, across the country to San Bernardino, California, and Glen Helen Raceway, site of the final round of the championship.
Ahead of the final round, the FIM has released the initial entry list for this weekend and it does feature some changes in regards to U.S.-based riders competing.
- Phil Nicoletti is listed on the entry list, but he is not expected to race this weekend. Justin Barcia will also not race, as the AutoTrader.com/Monster Energy/JGR Yamaha team was only expected to race the Charlotte round.
- Despite some reports, Cooper Webb will not race this weekend. Nor was he ever scheduled to race. Webb will use the next few weeks to test on the 450 in preparation for the Motocross of Nations later this month.
- Jeremy Martin will make his GEICO Honda debut, competing in the MX2 Class.
- The Troy Lee Designs/Red Bull KTM team will make an appearance with Justin Hill and Mitchell Oldenburg expected to race.
- Many expected Jason Anderson to use this race as a warm-up for the Motocross of Nations, but Anderson is not listed on the entry list and we confirmed with the team that he will not be racing this weekend.
- Adam Cianciarulo will not race this weekend after a crash at Charlotte, but Austin Forkner is in. Eli Tomac, who won at Charlotte on Saturday, is also in.
