Watch: DMX Canadian MX Weekly Wrap Up Show
Film/Words: Direct Motocross
Round 9 of the Rockstar Energy Drink MX Nationals made its second stop in Quebec this past weekend at the rough, sandy track in Deschambault, just west of Quebec City. Heading into the weekend, most riders would have said it ranked as one of their favourite tracks on the circuit. However, by the end of the day on Sunday most would retract that statement as the track took more than its fair share of victims.
KTM Canada Thor Racing rider Cole Thompson would take the MX2 class win and clinch the 2016 title with one round remaining. It wasn't a walk in the park for Thompson as young phenom Dylan Wright (MX101 FXR Yamaha) would catch and pass him for the second moto win. There was no love lost between the two at the end of that one!
Thompson's MX1 teammate Davi Millsaps took the first moto win and retains the points lead heading into RJ's next week, but it was his rookie teammate Kaven Benoit who stole the show in front of his home crowd where he won his first 450 moto and overall of his career.
Andy White and Billy Rainford take you through the racing action in this week's DMX recap video presented by FXR.
