Chasing the Dream - Xtra is a web based series culled from the acclaimed Chasing the Dream television program and the third webisode features Red Bull KTM's Marvin Musquin at Ford Field in Detroit. Going into this round, Musquin finished on the podium for three straight weeks and was eyeing his first 450SX Class Main Event win of the season.
Musquin qualified with the fastest lap time, but crashed hard in his heat race which forced him to the semi round. Musquin rebounded, took the holeshot and went on to win his first 450SX Class Semi of his career. In the 450SX Class Main Event, Musquin battled with teammate and reigning Supercross Champion Ryan Dungey, ultimately earning his fourth straight trip to the podium with a second place finish.
"Going into Detroit, I was on a three-week podium streak and looking for my first win of the season," said Musquin. "I had a solid day and forgot I was being filmed, but they captured the real up and down battles that we go through each and every week. This footage is as real as it gets for us."
