Yamaha Motor Europe N.V. and Jeremy Van Horebeek announced a one-year extension today that will see the Belgian stay with the team through the 2017 FIM World Motocross Championship season.
The 27-year-old has been with Yamaha since 2014 and is currently sixth in MXGP points.
Earlier this year, Yamaha agreed to a three-year deal with Van Horebeek’s teammate Romain Febvre that will see the 2015 MXGP World Champion stay with the brand through 2019.
"I feel really good in this team, and in the three years since I came here I have been 2nd, 5th and now again fighting for a top five in the championship, and that's all because I'm comfortable here and I'm comfortable on the bike, and this is what is really important,” said Van Horebeek in a team statement. “All of that makes it an easy choice to stay with people I consider to be part of one big family."
