Deadpool Custom Bike
Deadpool, Marvel Comics’ R-rated anti-hero movie, smashed a ton of records this year. On opening weekend the movie made $132.4 million, breaking box office records for an R-rated movie’s opening weekend. It went on to make more than $745 million worldwide. I’ve yet to see it, so maybe you can tweet @pulpmx. He seems to like that kind of stuff. I did find this little nugget about the movie: to capture the superhero kicking ass while moving through traffic, director Tim Miller and his team built a custom hybrid camera/stunt motorcycle. Nice! And of course, our old buddy (and former pro) Andy "Regis" Harrington did the riding, because that dude is all over the stunt business.
More from The Creators Project.
"What we have with the cycle cam is a one-of-a-kind vehicle. It's the first and only of its kind right now in the business," says Regis Harrington, a stunt driver who came all the way from New Orleans to man the unwieldy machine. The cycle cam is run on electricity to keep it quiet, and mounted with over 150 lbs of equipment to it balanced and smooth. It requires a superhuman level of control to avoid crashing it, but I guess Deadpool wasn't the only superhero on set.
Ukraine’s Next Motorcycle Star
Tima Kuleshov is 3 and 1/2 years old. Tima Kuleshov can ride a motorcycle better than 99 percent of grown adults. Let that sink in for a bit.
Ryan Dungey Featured in USA Today
Earlier this week the USA Today posted a video feature they recently conducted on Red Bull KTM’s Ryan Dungey. It spotlights Ryan’s good nature (how can you not?), his family, the reason behind his charity rides and more. It’s worth checking out.

Jimmie Johnson and Motocross
While the article doesn’t delve much into his background, look at this FANTASTIC headline on SB Nation earlier this week (emphasis ours): “NASCAR Dover 2016: Jimmie Johnson’s motocross background helps make him a legend at the Monster Mile.” #dirtbikesforpresident
Oh, and here is some more Jimmie Johnson moto stuff.
Max Verstappen Makes A Whole Bunch of History
Red Bull driver Max Verstappen won the Grand Prix of Spain over the weekend and set a whole bunch of damn records in the process. At just 18 years and 227 days old, Verstappen became the youngest driver in Formula One history to win a grand prix. He’s the youngest driver ever on an F1 podium and the first Dutch winner of an F1 grand prix and also the first driver to win in a Red Bull car since 2014. [Deep breath] And this was only his first race with Red Bull after having been promoted from Red Bull’s junior team. Wow!

MotoGP BodyGuards
MotoGP is in Mugello, aka Rossi country, this weekend and as a precautionary measure it seems Dorna is providing bodyguards for Marc Marquez and Jorge Lorenzo. Seriously! From Crash.net.
“Well in the paddock I don't know if it's necessary. Maybe outside the paddock?” commented reigning world champion Lorenzo, winner at Mugello in four of the past five seasons. “There are a lot of fans in Italy, and you never know how a fan can react. So the bodyguards are there and if we don't need them, it's okay. If we do need them, they are ready to work.”
However Repsol Honda's Marquez is firmly against the move.
“Honestly since I arrived here yesterday I feel really good. The fans are just asking for pictures and autographs. This morning when I go out of the motorhome I see a bodyguard, and honestly I already said to Dorna that I don't need a bodyguard,” Marquez said.
“I don't want a bodyguard. I want to feel normal. This is [just] another circuit and I think we are in a sport where this will not happen. So I already told them that I don't need. Just I feel great and this is most important.”
Rossi on Social Media
Max Oxley at MotorsportMagazine.com recently caught up with Rossi and asked him about the craziness that can be social media.
We all know what Rossi feels about twits booing his rivals. “I don’t know,” was his non-committal reply to questions on the subject in Argentina. But what does he think about those twits wishing his rivals dead or seriously injured? I managed to ask him that one recently…
“I think exactly what you think,” he said.
That it’s stupid?
“Yes, but sincerely speaking, I also get a lot of messages like this. This is social media: everyone in the world can speak with Marquez, with Lorenzo, with me, with [Lewis] Hamilton, with [Fernando] Alonso and say, f*&k, I hope you die! It’s very bad.”
It must be tough…
“Yes, but you know, you don’t have to read it!”

30 for 30 Spoof
Bartolo Colon is a baseball pitcher for the New York Mets. Through his nineteen-year career, Colon’s batting average is a paltry .091, according to Baseball-reference.com. Recently Colon somehow hit a home run and the entire internet melted down. And then some guy went and made a damn 30 or 30 spoof of the entire thing and it’s brilliant. Sometimes the internet can be gold.
