Boise, ID - Tim Gajser claimed the MX2 World Championship title last weekend aboard his Rekluse TorqDrive® equipped 2015 Honda CRF250RW. The MXGP series, the world's premier motocross racing competition, reached its exciting conclusion at the Glen Helen Raceway in California. Rekluse is proud to be part of the Honda Gariboldi Racing Team's victory.
"What an accomplishment for Tim and HRC [Honda Racing Corporation]! We are thrilled to have been a part of Tim's championship run in 2015," said Sean Brown, research and development manager at Rekluse. "For the last two seasons we have worked closely with HRC to provide the riders the best clutch possible for the demanding conditions of MXGP. It has been a privilege for our company to work with such a high caliber group of people including Tim, HRC, and Gariboldi Racing. We are excited to see what the future holds and look forward to an ongoing partnership with HRC."
The 2015 series marks Gajser's second year as a Rekluse supported rider, and his performance this season has been remarkable. Just 19 years old, Gajser first hit the podium this year at round four in Italy. His success was hard won in the highly competitive series and the young Slovenian became the series leader at round 16 in the Netherlands. Despite stiff competition from the world's other top racers, Gajser's consistency earned him one of the most coveted titles in motorsports.
Gajser will be back onboard his Honda CRF for the 2016 MXGP season, where he will once again contest the MX2 class as the defending world champion. We look forward to watching Gajser next year to see how his already impressive racing career continues to progress.
