Hitachi Construction Machinery Revo KTM’s Shaun Simpson left the final round of the FIM World Motocross Championship at Glen Helen yesterday after a crash in the first corner of the first MXGP moto.
According to Racer X contributor Adam Wheeler, Simpson sustained a hematoma on his lower back as a result of the crash. Simpson was unable to line up for the second moto.
Simpson tweeted this morning that he is feeling much better today and will race the Motocross of Nations this weekend in Ernee, France, where he is scheduled to ride the MX1 Class for Great Britain, alongside Max Anstie (MX2) and Dean Wilson (Open).
Waiting on my flight out of the U.S. Feeling much better today. Bashed up but back is looking much better. I'll be in France 100% #TeamGB

Simpson finished fourth in the MXGP standings, despite scoring zero points yesterday. Great Britain finished fourth at the Motocross of Nations last year and is expected to contend for a podium this weekend.
