Irvine, CA. – The GEICO AMA EnduroCross series has had a long summer break but will return to the Sleep Train Arena in Sacramento, California, on Saturday, September 26. The home of the Sacramento Kings NBA team will look much different with the rocks, logs, sand, and pond that make up the EnduroCross track.
As the track map reveals, the riders will be challenged right from the start with a huge log exiting the first turn before a tricky multiple log second turn leads them into the pond for the first time. A huge boulder field will greet them before the firewood pit, which typically proves to be one of the most unpredictable obstacles. Then it will be a “matrix,” which is a section of unevenly spaced logs that often send riders over the handlebars. The start straight will be the only break on the track before climbing the massive tractor tires and heading into an elevated rock section. And then they do it all over again for several laps.
EnduroCross is known for throwing all of the obstacles an off-road rider may find in a typical day of riding into a single lap. It often creates the most exciting racing you will ever see and features some of the most talented motorcycle riders in the world.
Cody Webb, Colton Haaker, Mike Brown, Taylor Robert, Cory Graffunder, Kyle Redmond, Max Gerston, Ty Tremaine, Geoff Aaron, Wild Wally Palmer, and Destry Abbott are joined by some of the young guns like Nick Thompson, Cooper Abbott, and Noah Kepple looking to make their mark. Don’t miss the action as the riders start into the first of five remaining rounds to determine the 2015 GEICO AMA EnduroCross champion.
