The sight of Robbie Maddison riding his 275-pound dirt bike across the unchartered saltwater terrain of the powerful and iconic waves of Tahiti created a buzz around the world, generating more than 40 million views in less than a month. It wasn’t long ago that even Robbie’s mechanic Buddy Morgan thought there were too many barriers to overcome for this dream to ever be a reality.
DC Global Brand Lead and Pipe Dream Executive Producer Jeff Taylor said, “I have been fortunate to witness a lot of things, and this was the biggest gap between an idea and reality I have ever seen. I knew that if this was physically possible, Robbie Maddison would find a way to make it happen.”
“Behind the Dream: The Making of Robbie Maddison’s Pipe Dream” takes viewers from the vision that kept Maddo up at night through nearly two years of challenges, to the success of making history as the first to dirt bike on the world famous waves at Teahupoo and Papara.
