Wil Hahn Injured in Testing Crash, Out for Millville

Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Wil Hahn will miss Round 8 of Lucas Oil Pro Motocross at Millville on July 18 after injuring his ribs in a crash on Tuesday, the team announced. The team is hoping he can return at Round 10 at Unadilla, but no timetable has been announced.

“I’m disappointed for my team, sponsors and all my fans,” said Hahn in a team statement. “I’m not sure what the recovery time is at the moment, but I am going to work hard to get back on the bike as soon as I can. Everything was coming together and I felt like I was starting to ride at my best. This injury is a small setback for us but knowing I have such a great group of people behind me, keeps me pushing forward.”

Hahn was starting to round into form after missing all of Monster Energy Supercross after breaking his arm, ribs, and two vertebrae at the season opener in Anaheim. Through seven rounds, Hahn is fourteenth in 450MX points, with two moto top tens on the season.

According to a statement, the team will explore options to find a fill in rider while Hahn recovers. Hahn is currently the only rider on the team, after they released Davi Millsaps earlier this year.
