Antonio Cairoli’s 450 adventures continue to pay off in Spain. Cairoli, the long-time 350 rider, made the change to the 450 prior to Round 6 of the FIM World Motocross Championship at Talavera de la Reina. Cairoli topped qualifying yesterday and won a tie-breaker (second moto win) today over points leader Max Nagl to claim the overall. Nagl extended his points lead over Clement Desalle to twelve, as the Belgian could only manage fourth overall, behind MXGP rookie Romain Febvre.
A stunner in MX2, as Valentin Guillod won the second moto to capture his first career overall over Jeffrey Herlings. Herlings, the first moto winner, fought from way back in the second moto. Defending MX2 world champion Jordi Tixier was third.
