  • Musquin on Pit Pass Moto Show

Advance, North Carolina - Motorcycle racers, business owners and insiders from the motorcycle world give their uncut opinions and stories every Tuesday at 8 pm eastern. Listen live at www.pitpassmoto.com

Red Bull KTM Factory rider Marvin Musquin collected the win at the opening round of the East 250 SX class championship at the seventh round of the Monster Energy Supercross, an FIM World Championship, held at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, TX. The friendly Frenchman, who spent the off-season restructuring his training program, turned the quickest time in the afternoon qualifiers to earn top gate pick heading into the heat race of which he won. Following the staggered start in the main due to an injured rider Musquin led the way and quickly got out to his top spot once again. He pulled away from the field and went on to collect his first win of the season. His win at the opening round will give him the red-plate heading to Atlanta this Saturday.

Precision Concept's Robby Bell dominated round two of the 2013 Rocky Mountain MC World Off-Road Championship Series, presented by Motoworks. The race took place in Primm, Nevada, on February 10.  Bell worked his way into the lead early in lap one, and ran away from the rest of the field to secure an easy win. Taylor Robert, the reigning champion and round one winner, missed the event due to illness. Bell finished in the second spot at the WORCS season opener.

Mike Kidd's newest endeavor is the new Scramblecross series in Texas. Utilizing natural terrain courses with no double and triple jumps and minimal track prep, Mike is taking things back to the old school way of doing things. Mikes professional racing career spanned from 1970-1983 resulting in sponsorship support from Cemoto Bultaco, Harley-Davidson Motor Company, Triumph Motor Company, Yamaha Motor Sports USA, American Honda Motor Company and the U.S. Army.  Major achievement include the 1981 AMA Winston Pro Grand National Champion, ABC Wide World of Sports Race of Champions and induction into the AMA Hall of Fame. Most recently Kidd was the Director of the AMA/DMG Flat Track Series.

Josh Hayes is on a roll having won four of the last five AMA SuperBike Championships. 2015 promises to be an interesting year with the defending champion picking up where he left off in the newly created MotoAmerica Series. His 2014 season included seven victories with every finish in first or second place except for one. Hayes also has won championships in SuperStock (2003) and FX classes (2006, 2007).

Big news for Aussie Dave Anthony in 2015 with him moving to the SuperSport class and teaming up with Team Hammer/M4 Suzuki. His 2014 season was his best ever with a 5th overall in the AMA Pro Series. During the seasons he finished on the podium in second place twice. He also claimed seven top five finishes. Anthony has been an owner manager since 2006 when he started racing SuperBikes in the USA.
