Hooper Media, LLC is pleased to announce the 2015 Kenda Full Gas Sprint Enduro Series schedule. The four-round series will begin February 21 in Gaston, South Carolina before making stops in Nashville, Indiana; Macon, Georgia; and Union, South Carolina for the season finale in November.
The Kenda Full Gas Sprint Enduro Series format brings a style of racing that is typically only found at places like the World Enduro Championship and International Six Days of Enduro (ISDE). This unique style of racing includes three-to four-mile grass track sections and enduro-style special tests that racers make multiple attempts on throughout the weekend. Unlike a traditional American enduro, there are no transfer trails—all tests start and finish in the same area—and test lengths are much shorter, which allows racers to ride all-out for the entirety of the test. It also makes the event much more spectator-friendly.
KENDA Tire, a leader in the off-road motorcycle tire market, came on board as the title sponsor of the first-ever Full Gas Sprint Enduro in 2014 and returns as the series title sponsor in 2015.
“We were thrilled last year when KENDA came on board as the title sponsor of our first event and we’re just as happy to have their continued support as we expand to a four-round series in 2015,” said Full Gas Enduro Series founder Jason Hooper. “With such a new and unique format, many companies are hesitant to get involved but KENDA sees the potential in this format and has jumped in with both feet and we’re stoked to have them on board.”
“The Full Gas Sprint Enduro Series is a great fit for KENDA,” said Mike Tosch, KENDA Motorcycle Events and Sponsorship Manager. “There’s a lot of excitement in the off-road market right now and Sprint Enduro is another event that’s gaining a big following so it makes a lot of sense.”
“We’re big supporters of enduro and any variation that helps our U.S. guys get more competitive in the world events and gives them a venue to promote their sponsors is something we want to support. Feedback from the first event was great and we’re looking forward to seeing more Full Gas Sprint Enduros in 2015 and beyond,” Tosch added.
Round one of the 2015 series will take place February 21 and 22 at HRD Motorsports Complex in Gaston, South Carolina and is presented by FMF Racing. The sandy soil will provide great conditions regardless of the weather, and with woods and motocross tracks on the property the special tests will have a variety of obstacles to challenge racers of all skill levels.
Round two, presented by DQ Tuned, will be held in Nashville, Indiana on July 18 and 19. Taking place at an old ski resort, this round will offer riders a completely different type of terrain compared to round one. Big hill climbs, sweeping grass track and a few creek crossings will keep racers on their toes and provide fantastic spectating points for fans and pit crews alike.
Paradise Off-Road Park in Macon, Georgia will host round three of the series on Aug. 8 and 9. Owned by Two-Time GNCC Champion Scott Plessinger, Paradise features a variety of terrain ranging from motocross tracks to single track trails that will make for awesome sprint enduro special tests.
The season finale will be held Nov. 14 and 15 at the iconic Big Buck Farm in Union, South Carolina. The Big Buck Farm was the site of the first-ever Full Gas Sprint Enduro, which racers of all ages and skill levels enjoyed due to the enormous grass track test and the flowing enduro test complete with hill climbs and a big creek jump.
Online registration is now open for the opening round at www.fullgasenduro.com. The first 100 online entrants will receive a free limited edition Full Gas Sprint Enduro event t-shirt.
