Dylan Ferrandis is coming to the United States in 2016. Ferrandis, a member of the winning French team at the Motocross of Nations, will contest his final year in the FIM MX2 World Motocross Championship in 2015 before moving to the USA in 2016, Kawasaki announced today.
“I’m very happy to sign this long-term deal with Kawasaki. I’ve been riding for them for several years now, and I feel so comfortable on these bikes," Ferrandis said in a press release. "We’ve got a great relationship and our common goal is to win in Europe but also in the USA; that’s been a dream of mine for many years. I hope to get great results in the MX2 Grand Prix series with the MX2 team, and then move with the same goal in the USA. I’d like to thanks all the people who trust in me and made this deal possible.”
Ferrandis will follow in the steps of European Kawasaki riders like Christophe Pourcel and Arnaud Tonus and make the move to the U.S. with the brand. The 20-year-old finished fourth in the 2014 FIM MX2 World Motocross Championship final standings in 2014, including a moto win at the opening round in Qatar.
