  • Stewart to Run Vortex Pink Sprocket at Straight Rhythm

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Vortex Racing, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of motorcycle racing components, announced today that James Stewart will run the Vortex PINK Campaign CAT 5 Sprocket at the Red Bull Straight Rhythm event this Saturday, October 4 at 3 p.m. Pacific Time in Pomona, California, at the Auto Club Raceway at Fairplex. Stewart joins the ranks of other Vortex riders who have run the PINK sprocket in nationally televised events including AMA Pro Superbike Champion Josh Hayes, who ran PINK at NOLA in 2012.

This is Vortex’s third year launching its PINK Campaign. Annually, Vortex makes a pink version of their CAT 5 Sprocket and donates 25 percent of net retail sales of the pink sprocket to the American Cancer Society earmarked for its breast cancer programs (image attached). This year, Vortex has added its pink V3 Street Grips for street bikes to its PINK product offering and will also donate 25 percent of net retail sales of this product to the same.

“We are so excited to see James go PINK at the Red Bull Straight Rhythm event this weekend to support breast cancer research. By running this pink sprocket on the national stage, James is going to be  a shining beacon of hope by raising breast cancer awareness within the motorcycle racing industry. With James’ help, and the help of other riders like him, we hope to change that,” says Matt Griffin, president of Vortex.

The Red Bull Straight Rhythm event can be viewed on NBC Sports Network or at redbull.com

Vortex will have another exciting announcement regarding its PINK Campaign CAT 5 Sprockets and the Monster Energy Cup in the coming weeks.

Anyone interested in purchasing a Vortex PINK Campaign CAT 5 Sprocket or PINK Campaign V3 Street Grips should call 1-800-440-3559 to place an order. Twenty-five percent of net retail sales will go to the American Cancer Society earmarked for the organization’s breast cancer research initiatives.
