Below is the official announcement:
Greenville, FL – Justin Barcia is excited and pleased to announce that beginning on September 15, 2014 he will be training with Johnny O’Mara. Justin has been talking to the 1983 AMA 125cc Motocross national champion, 1984 250cc AMA Supercross champion and member of four winning Motocross des Nations teams, known by many as “Johnny O” over the last few weeks while he is rehabilitating from recent ankle surgery.
Justin explained that “although I’m happy with the way my rehab is going, I’m really looking forward to getting back to training for the upcoming Monster Energy Supercross series. I feel that Johnny can help get me to the level I need to be at for 2015.”
O’Mara has worked with past champions such as Ricky Carmichael, James Stewart and Ryan Dungey. He is well respected by the motorcycle community as evidenced by his 2000 induction to the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame.
“Johnny’s reputation speaks for itself and I feel that our collaboration will be great in getting me to achieve the next step of my career,” said Justin.
