Livingston, CA - 51FIFTY Racing is proud to announce the hiring of Craig Monty to the position of Team Manager. Entering its fourth year racing AMA Supercross, 51FIFTY is growing its program which last year netted several top finishes and the AMA Top Privateer award.
"Supercross has proven to be a strong marketing tool for 51FIFTY Energy Drinks and with the help of the industry and sponsors, we continue to enhance our program," says Carlos Vieira, Team Owner. "Our goal for '15 is finishing Top 5 in the AMA West Supercross series and adding an industry veteran in Craig Monty is a step forward for our team and expectations."
Craig Monty brings a wealth of experience, racing and testing knowledge to 51FIFTY Racing. Monty has proven successes as a race mechanic to some of the best racers in the world including Sebastien Tortelli, Doug Henry, and David Vuillemin. As Factory Yamaha mechanic, Monty was awarded SX Mechanic of the Year. After his Factory days, Monty's career in the industry continued with other leading aftermarket companies.
"I'm excited to join 51FIFTY Racing and will work diligently to add value to the team," explains Craig Monty. "I look forward toward building the team, outfitting our tractor-trailer, working with team sponsors building the best possible race bikes, and improving rider results so we are on or near the podium each week."
