Today, at the Unadilla National, Round 10 of Lucas Oil Pro Motocross, the AMA announced the 2014 USA Motocross of Nations team. Red Bull KTM’s Ryan Dungey (MX1) will lead the team for the sixth time and be joined by GEICO Honda’s Eli Tomac (MX3) and Yamalube/Star Racing Yamaha’s Jeremy Martin (MX2). This is the second consecutive year Dungey and Tomac will be on the team. This is the first time Jeremy Martin has been selected to the team. Roger Decoster will serve as team manager.
"If you look at the way Ryan, Eli and Jeremy are riding at the moment, we should be back in the hunt for a victory," said DeCoster in a statement. "The track we will be racing at suits our style, and all the riders are talented and on good equipment. Also, all of these riders want to be here, and compete for their country. That's what we want in a team."
"I'm excited to get the oppoutunity to ride for Team USA," said Martin.
"We are going back for revenge this year," said Tomac.
"As a little kid this is what you look forward to," said Dungey.
The 2014 Motocross of Nations will take place September 27-28 in Kegums, Latvia.
