GEICO Honda’s Eli Tomac came back to the first race of the summer after an injury with a vengeance and impressively pounded out the fastest timed qualifying lap. He backed that up with a podium and a not so subtle reminder that he won’t be requiring the customary few races after coming back from an injury to get up to race speed. Welcome back, Eli!
Star Yamaha’s Cooper Webb added to the blue summer with his first ever 250 AMA Pro National win last weekend at Muddy Creek in the Volunteer State. All first wins are special to some extent, but Cooper made sure the southeast fans won’t soon forget his memorable hometown victory after a day of epic racing and battles in both motos. We’ll catch up with Coop tonight since there is little time to enjoy the moment as the historic Red Buddddd track patiently waits this weekend.
There are few names in the American lexicon that evoke as much bravado and badassness as Evel Knievel. Our country embraced his passion and independence while we all witnessed his bravery and showmanship that defined the man. We’re very pleased to welcome Alicia Knievel on tonight for her unique perspective about her father and his legacy. Alicia will also highlight the upcoming Evel Knievel Days event and tribute scheduled in Butte, Montana this July. www.EvelKnievelDays.org
