TUF Racing, the longest running Arenacross team in the country, has signed Jacob Hayes to replace Teddy Maier on the roster. Teddy sustained an injury a few weeks ago in Germany and it has not healed as quickly as he had hoped.
”Teddy originally thought he would miss a week because of the injury but that hasn’t been the case," said team owner, Dave Antolak. "With having to be in the top 10 to qualify for the dash for the championship, time was running out. We were lucky that Jacob Hayes was available to us through the TiLube connection and with him setting fourth in the points it works out well for both of us. He has already ridden the bike and likes it, and he has four more weekends to dial in in before we start the dash for the championship, so we are confident he will be 100 percent ready."
Coming off a very convincing win last weekend in his hometown race he looks to continue that this weekend at the two night event in Milwaukee. Jacob had this to say about his new ride: “Doing the series on my own has been tough, so having the support of a team with the experience of TUF Racing can only help me reach my goal of being the 2014 Arenacross champion. I will have Tracin Seng as my mechanic so I won’t have to worry about anything but winning.”
