Cypress, Calif., - Yamalube/Star Racing/Yamaha rookie sensation Cooper Webb raced to a superb second place podium finish at the third round of the Monster Energy Supercross West Region event at the Angel Stadium in Anaheim, CA. Webb, riding the new 2014 Yamaha YZ250F grabbed the holeshot the main and then slotted into second place, which he held for half the race before being passed by rival Jason Anderson. Although Webb finished third on the track he was credited second when Anderson was given a two place penalty. That ruling also bumped Webb up to third in the 250 West Region points.
“The new Yamaha is awesome, I feel like the new bike with the GYTR engine package and components has really helped me recently to get great starts and put me in podium contention,” said Webb.
