Johnny Campbell, Baja 1000 Legend - JCR Honda
JCR/Honda has announced a multiyear partnership with American Honda to compete in the GNCC as they will be pulling out of Baja. This is big news since Johnny is a Baja Legend with a record 11 Baja 1000 wins and countless other achievements. He also has been featured in the films "Dust to Glory" and his biography "True Champion".
Chris Bach, GNCC Racer - JCR Honda
Bach had a solid season in 2013 finishing in 3rd overall in the GNCC Racing Series. He had two podium finishes and never finished outside the top ten all season. Bach is a fast, young racer good experience in the GNCC Series. Over the past few years he has raced on Beta's and KTM's in GNCC and demonstrated that he is an adaptable rider, with a methodical approach to racing.
Pat Lopez, Marketing - Von Zipper
Lopez started in the surf industry and is now a moto industry veteran having spent time at Transworld Motocross and Answer Racing Products. His new gig has him working with the guys at Von Zipper. VonZipper is an Orange County-based manufacturer of sunglasses, goggles, accessories and soft goods that was founded in 1999, in a side warehouse in San Clemente, California by friends that grew up surfing, skateboarding, snowboarding, riding dirt bikes and giggling together. The company soon became popular for its innovative products and novel advertising campaign. They currently sponsor Wil Hahn, Jake Canada, Tyler Bereman and Brandon Scharer in the moto category.
Justin Barcia, 450 Supercross - Honda Muscle Milk
During the off season between Outdoors and Supercross "Bam Bam" spent some time racing in Europe. He won the Genova Supercross in Italy and Bercy Supercross in France (making him a two-time King of Bercy) Now, three races into the 2014 Supercross season, he sits fifth in points.
This past Saturday night at the Anaheim 2 race he finished fourth. The series heads to Oakland this Saturday night.
Jacob Hayes, Arenacross Racer
Hayes is currently in 5th overall in the AMSOIL Arenacross Series. As the Series heads to Greensboro, North Carolina this coming weekend, Hayes will be on his home tuff. He already has one main event win and one heat race win to his credit. Currently 24 points out of the lead, Hayes is still a guy to watch in the series. During the first few races he got into it with last year's series champion, Tyler Bowers. During his amateur racing years he raced for Team Green, he switched to KTM's for a brief period when he turned pro and is back on Kawasaki's now.
Colton Aeck, 250 Supercross West Coast - MotoConcepts Racing
Prior to signing with MotoConcepts, Colton was racing 250 West Coast SX as a privateer. Motoconcepts had a Scholarship contest based on fan voting combined with the rider's first two rounds of Supercrosss results and Colton won it. Before he was on a privateer 2012 CRF250 before making the switch to the MotoConcepts bike. At round one he missed the main event but put it in the main at round two in Phoenix to finish 16th. This is his first year competing in Supercross. This makes a great story as he wasn't one of the top amateurs last year.
