New to the 2014 Monster Energy Supercross season is the Premier of the Motosport.com Crossland Racing Team. Motosport.com, one of the largest online motorcycle accessory and parts distributors, has teamed up with Crossland Racing owned by Chris Crossland, a lifelong enthusiast and national developer. “There was no better time, people or sponsors to launch a team with. I am excited to work alongside the Albertsons, Merge Racing, Motosport.com, and all our great sponsors to build a successful lasting team in the industry.”

Motosports.com Crossland Racing will be attending all 17 rounds of the Monster Energy Supercross season with Jimmy Albertson as the premier 450 rider. “I am really thankful for the opportunity that Motosport.com/ Crossland Racing has given me, especially building the team around me. I am really excited about the group of people we have working together, and I can’t wait to see what the season holds for us.”

Albertson (a successful amateur rider, as well as having a successful European tour) will be running the #77 Honda machine this year after racing the last two supercross seasons.  Alongside Jimmy will be his brother Gregg Albertson as his mechanic. Guy Cooper will be racing as the teams veteran rider, and will serve every race as Jimmy’s coach and mentor. Jim Lewis from Merge Racing will not only be doing all of his engine and suspension work, but also play as crew chief for the season. A unique feature of the team is that it was formed in Oklahoma and almost all of the team is from or lives in the OKC area. Oklahoma has raised some great riders over the last three decades, with its growing population of great tracks mixed with the Oklahoma work ethic. Motosport.com and Crossland expect great things in the future from the Albertsons and upcoming Oklahoma youngsters.
