AURORA, Ill – Feld Motor Sports® announced today that energy drink leader Monster Energy has inked a multi-year agreement to serve as the official energy drink for the Nuclear Cowboyz® tour. The 2014 Nuclear Cowboyz tour begins on January 4 at Rupp Arena in Lexington, Ky.

As part of Monster Energy’s sponsorship initiatives, each city on the Nuclear Cowboyz tour schedule will host a special incentive program. During each event, fans that recycle a Monster Energy can at designated areas throughout the venue will receive access to the Lightning Lane. The Lightning Lane is an exclusive VIP lane that grants fans first-in-line privileges to the post-event autograph line to meet the best freestyle riders on the planet.

"Freestyle motocross is a huge part of Monster Energy's core and symbolizes what we are all about- GOING BIG,” said Ash Hodges, Monster Energy two-wheel motor sports manager. “Monster has worked hard to build the best team of FMX athletes in the world and the sport has been a key component in Monster Energy's global growth and success. Nuclear Cowboyz, with its creativity and high production value, has energized FMX as the tour shows more mainstream audiences just how gnarly FMX actually is and how talented these athletes truly are. We are really looking forward to being part of the Nuclear Cowboyz and taking FMX to new heights."

Through Monster Energy’s commitment to Nuclear Cowboyz, the world largest arena-base freestyle motocross production, the brand will continue to grow around Monster Energy’s array of marketing assets, including their dynamic social media platforms. Monster Energy will receive on-site branding, hospitality at all events and placement in marketing and media campaigns.

“We are pleased to be extending our relationship with Monster Energy to the Nuclear Cowboyz tour,” said Juliette Feld, executive vice president, Feld Entertainment®. “Monster Energy’s support will take Nuclear Cowboyz to the next level and enhance the fan experience throughout the tour.”

For over 13 years, Monster Energy has claimed high honors in the action sports industry with much credit given to the hard-driving stake it claims through its dominant roster of core athletes including Nuclear Cowboyz riders Jeremy “Twitch” Stenberg, a 16-time X Games medalist, as well as Taka Higashino a five-time X Games medalist.

“To hear that Monster Energy has partnered with Nuclear Cowboyz is big news,” said Stenberg. “Monster Energy has backed me for years, so to have them on board goes to show that Nuclear Cowboyz is leading the new era of FMX.”

Nuclear Cowboyz features a storyline conveyed through more than 1000 gravity-defying freestyle stunts performed by the globe’s most dominant freestyle athletes. The action-packed show is complete with stunning performances by world-famous Shaolin Kung Fu Warriors, stunning laser effects, the largest indoor pyrotechnics show and an infectious soundtrack comprised of heavy metal, electronic dubstep and alternative hip hop. Entering its fifth touring year, Nuclear Cowboyz 2014 is led by an award-winning creative team and features the world’s top freestyle motocross athletes.
