Oregon charity event supports St. Jude Children's Research Hospital
60-mile poker run and auction supports childhood cancer research
MEDFORD, OR - On October 11-13, the 10th Annual Brittney Ride Event for St. Jude will be held at Seven Feathers Casino Resort featuring The Little River Band. In addition, a live auction featuring guitars by Kid Rock, Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood, Merle Haggard, Rick Springfield, Pat Travers Band and more. Plus Mark Daley's Thunderstruck Custom Bikes will be on display. 100% of all proceeds from the event will go directly to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Brittney Mallory, of Central Point, Oregon, was only 18-years-old when her life was taken by an Anaplastic Astrocytoma brain tumor. It was a mere four months from the time the tumor was discovered in the center of her brain to the time Brittney passed away. Dayle Mallory-Bell (Brittney's mom) organizes this 60-mile motorcycle poker ride and the auction to help raise funds for childhood cancer research. The Australian sensation known as The Little River Band will perform live at Seven Feathers Casino Resort all three nights of The Brittney Ride Event. With over 25 million records sold and 13 U.S. Top 40 songs, millions of Americans rocked out to their '70-'80s hits like Reminiscing, Lady, Happy Anniversary, Lonesome Loser and Cool Change. Registration and check-in plus the kick-off party with appetizers and no-host bar on Friday. Buffet breakfast on Saturday morning before Poker Run followed up with a steak or chicken dinner and then a Sunday morning farewell breakfast. In between there is live music, a Hawaii Trip give away, Dyno Glide presentation by D & S Harley, bike wash stations and silent auction.
