TUF/Slaton Racing Dallas Recap
February 21, 2013, 2:55pm
Dekalb,IL. –This past Saturday, the Monster Energy AMA Supercross Series began its east coast swing with the first round at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Switching from riding the 450 on the west coast Vince Friese didn’t miss a beat as he qualified 5th in timed practice giving him 3rd gate pick in the second heat. Vince didn’t waste any time proving that he will be a rider to watch in the 250 east coast series by finishing 2nd in the heat.
This was Vince’s best finish ever in a heat race and gave him 4th pick on the gate for the main. There was some mayhem in the first turn that Vince had to work his way through coming out around 9th going into the second turn. Vince had worked himself up to 5th when Wil Hahn came inside of him and took out his front wheel dropping Vince back to 13th. With only a few laps left Vince worked himself back up to 9th right on the back wheel of the 8th place rider. If you will be in Atlanta this week please stop by and say hi.
