- Ryan Villopoto set the fastest lap of the night for the first time since round 4 in Oakland with a 44.356.

- The latest fastest lap of the night, for the second straight week, belonged to more than one rider. Justin Brayton, Weston Peick and Josh Hill all set their fastest lap on lap 10. Brayton’s 45.071 would best Peick’s 46.000 and Hill’s 47.258.

- Three riders—Ryan Villopoto, Ryan Dungey and Davi Millsaps—set all of their laps under the 47-seconds.

- Justin Brayton and Chad Reed weren’t far behind the trio, as the pair only had one lap over 47-seconds.

- RV was on fire early, setting his first nine laps under 45-seconds—the best of the field.

- Weston Peick finished a season-high 11th. Peick went on a run of twelve straight laps (5-16) under 47-seconds.

- Ryan Villopoto would top the field with seventeen straight laps under 46-seconds to begin the race. Davi Millsaps would come in second with fifteen straight, with Chad Reed in third with fourteen straight.

- Although he was coming through traffic a majority of the night, Justin Barcia still laid down sixteen straight laps (2-18) under 47-seconds.

- Dallas managed to pass San Diego (another football stadium) as the quickest track thus far. The best average lap time (Chad Reed – 47.871 in San Diego) dropped by over two seconds from a week ago (Ryan Villopoto – 45.281 in Dallas).

- How fast was the track? Six riders average lap times were under 46-seconds.

- How fast was RV in Dallas? His average lap time (45.281) was faster than all but five riders’ FASTEST lap time (Millsaps, Barcia, Dungey, Reed, and Brayton).

Davi Millsaps vs Ryan Dungey – Laps 15-20

Davi Millsaps revealed after Dallas that he had been battling an illness all week and “was barely able to breathe” down the stretch. Yet, the points leader was able to dig deep and keep a hard charging Ryan Dungey at bay and pick two more points in the chase. In a championship race that has a small margin of error, and what could have been a swing of four points had Dungey made the pass, we may look back at this in May as a turning point in the series. - Dean Wilson set the fastest lap of the night with a 45.997 on lap 5 en route to the win in the East Region opener.

- Wilson’s rookie teammate, Justin Hill, would set the latest fastest lap of the night with a 47.421 on the final lap! Hill’s 47.421 ranked eighth best in 250SX.

- Privateer Cole Thompson had a career night in the works, running in third, before a spectacular crash knocked him out of the race. Thompson set all seven of his laps under 48-seconds to begin the race.

- After a great start, AG Motorsports’ Kyle Peters was able to hang on for a career night with a fourth. Peters set 14 of 15 laps under 49-seconds.

- Dean Wilson was the only 250SX rider to dip under the 46-second mark.

- Wilson was on another level in Dallas as his average lap time (47.082) was better than all but four riders’ FASTEST lap of the night (Wharton, Hahn, Musquin, and Peters).

- After missing all of 2012 with injuries, privateer Jimmy DeCotis was back and showed the speed that made him one of the most beloved privateers. After such a long lay-off many would have expected DeCotis to fade down the stretch, but the Mass native’s final two laps were in the 47-second range.

- Wilson was not only fast, but the most consistent, with 13 of 15 laps under 48-seconds. Blake Wharton and Marvin Musquin were darned good, too, each logging 12 of 15 laps under 48-seconds.
