MSR Mini O's Recap
November 27, 2012, 3:25pm
Corona, Ca- The 2012 Winter Olympics held at Gatorback Cycle part is the last major Amateur race of the year. You could say it is the last chance to impress the industry sponsors for those still looking for deals and our MSR riders definitely came to impress this year. 13 Championships and 16 podiums proved that point.
Cooper Webb dominated the “A” classes as he brought home 6 championships and 2 other Podium finishes in route to winning the “Dunlop Silver Tire” and “Pro Circuit Platinum Pipe” awards. Chase Sexton proved he has some serious SX skills by winning 3 of 4 Championships in the 85 (12-13) and Mini Sr. classes. Chase also rode great in the MX event taking home a handful of podium finishes. Aaron Plessinger showed some serious speed during the week bringing home a Championship in the Youth (12-16) in both SX and MX. In addition to those wins, Aaron racked up numerous other podium finishes throughout the week. Barry Carsten is still shredding in his older years as he won the 45+ Class in both SX and MX.
MSR would like to also congratulate Darian Sanayei on multiple podium finishes throughout the week in the very competitive B class. Although not everyone can win a championship or podium, they can still put in a solid performance that does not go unnoticed – riders like Luke Renzland, Andrew Pierce, Josh Osby, Cody Eaton, Jeremy Hand and John Short had some impressive rides in their respective classes, showing that MSR will be a force in the coming year.
