Red Bull RE-MX Returns to Steel City
NEW RELAY COMPETITION MAKES MOTOCROSS A TEAM SPORT
PAMX Practice Day Provides the Handoff for Red Bull RE-MX,
Saturday, October 13th
WHAT:
Red Bull RE-MX is a team-based head-to-head motocross relay race where each rider is a member of a three-person team, but competes against others in his/her own class. It is not your typical motocross race, where it's every racer for themselves. Now amateurs can team up with their local heroes and literally pass the baton between laps. Teams will funnel through a bracket-type format in search of the Red Bull RE-MX Championship, with the fastest three teams racing head-to-head in the main event for the winning honors. Winners will receive prize money, Oakley Goggles, branded Red Bull RE-MX Skullcandy headphones and the Red Bull RE-MX Champion title.
WHO:
Twelve teams of three members from each amateur riding class: A, B/C, and 85cc. Local industry supporters and race shops will be sponsoring and nominating the teams. Pittsburgh motocross staples Cernic's Racing, Pittsburgh Raceway Park, and In The Blood are already confirmed.
