Freegun Underwear Congratulates Fiolek
LAS VEGAS, NV - The closest battle in WMX history, three riders separated by 10 points, came down to the last laps with Freegun athlete Ashley Fiolek earning the #1 plate.
Fiolek started her championship quest in Hangtown with a win and used consistent rides to keep her in the championship hunt. The half-way point of the series at High Point was a setback for the likable rider as she was forced to sit out with an injury and, unable to score any points, dampened her championships aspirations.
As champions do, setbacks become motivation and Ashley raced back with a vengeance dominating the competition winning six (6) consecutive motos putting herself in a position to earn the championship at the final round.
The woman who’s fame stretches from motocross tracks to Hollywood, emulated a movie script entering the final moto of the season with a one point deficit. With the pressure on, Ashley ‘showed her true colors’ and rocketed to the front riding a calculated race. Knowing the competition was behind her, Ashley rode smooth on the rough ‘Supercross-esque’ track as family and fans held their collective breaths.
When she crossed the finish line, Ashley had wrapped up her second consecutive WMX title, her 4th in total.
