Cobra loads up for Loretta’s by winning big @ Ponca City
Pierce Brown makes a statement on the American-made Cobra CX65, winning the 65cc 7-9 Stock & Mod classes against a field of top young motocross racers

HILLSDALE, Mich., – New venue, same results for kids on Cobras in Ponca City, Okla., as Cobra Moto riders swept the 50cc class 1st place trophies in 4-6 Stock & Mod, 7-8 Stock & Mod and 4-8 Open Stock. But the big story emanating from the 2012 Ponca Amateur MX Championships – one that will resonate through the motocross industry all the way up to the start of Loretta’s this Tuesday – was the 65cc 7-8 class Stock & Mod sweep of the top podium spots by Cobra’s Pierce Brown aboard the American-made CX65.

“I can’t begin to tell you how huge Pierce’s effort was at Ponca. He can now parlay that confidence of besting the nation’s top 65cc racers at Ponca into his efforts Loretta’s this week,” said Sean Hilbert, President of Cobra Moto.

In addition to Brown on the 65, Cobra had some good results from Jack Rogers in the 10-11 Stock and Mod classes. Rogers put his bike on the podium in two of the three Mod motos to place 4th overall, and also podiumed in the Stock class to make the top ten.

On the Cobra King 50s the big story was Jett Reynolds winning his first-ever major national 50cc title – taking the 7-8 Stock title as a seven-year-old! Gage Linville also put Cobra on top of the box in the 7-8 Mod class and the all-ages 4-8 Open Stock race, while Ryder Di Francesco flat out DOMINATED the 4-6 class, winning five of the six motos for a 1st place Stock/Mod sweep.

Next up for Cobra is the July 31st to Aug. 4th 2012 Red Bull Amateur National Motocross Championship, presented by AMSOIL, at Loretta Lynn’s Ranch in Hurricane Mills, Tenn.

Cobra, founded in 1993, produces the most successful line of competition mini cycles in the United States with more than 300 national titles in the last decade. Based out of Hillsdale, Mich., Cobra's mission is to build premium products for the serious racer.
