MXHeaven Racing team regroups for the RedBud National Motocross

The first 5 races in the 2012 Lucas Oil National MX Championship have not been kind to the MXHeaven Racing Team. It seems that injuries have been common across the board, and the MXHeaven team has not been spared from this.

As a matter of fact, Team Rider Fredrik Noren did not even make it to the first race due to a broken arm in practice, but he has now recovered and is ready to join the circuit. “ I just cannot wait to start racing the Nationals again,” said Fredrik. “All this waiting and sitting on the sidelines have been frustrating and I have all this built up energy to release, but in a controlled way so I don’t overdo it and get hurt again”.

On the flipside, Russian rider Serge Astaykin has struggled with a shoulder injury since the Texas race and has been unable to produce any good results. He has now been forced to take a break from racing to recover and his return date is uncertain at this point.

Rickard Sandberg has used the time off to work on his speed and stamina. Especially the starts have been his Achilles heal. “I have the speed and I need to put it all together in Qualifying and then get a good start for the race” said Richard. “We worked hard during the time off to simulate the 2 or 3 quick laps you have to do in qualifying to make it to the race.”

Robert Lind has been the most likely Team rider to finish in the points so far. “ It has taken me a while to get used to the style and speed of the racing in the US” said Robert. “But my bike is working really well and I like the Ohlins suspension so I am ready to step it up at RedBud, a place I have heard so much about. I can’t wait to get started”.

MXHeaven Racing team is proudly sponsored by Ohlins USA, Yoshimura exhaust, Silkolene lubricants, GOLDfren brakes, DECALworks graphics, Cycra plastics, Troy Lee Designs, DunlopTires, NoToil, Gaerne boots, Warp9 radiators, RK-Excel, Wiseco, Works Connection and AME grips.

About MXHeaven:
