Andrew Short, 450 Supercross/ Motocross - Chaparral Honda L&Mc Racing Team
2012 has been a roller coaster of a year so far for Andrew Short. His newly formed team, owned by Larry Brooks and Jeremy McGrath, lost their title sponsor for a while and then eventually picked up Chaparral. Also Short missed over a month of racing due to an injury but then he came back to a much unexpected main event Supercross win, his first ever after competing in the premier class for six years. This week the the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship kicks off at Hangtown where Shorty is considered a strong contender in the series.
Eddie Cole, Entrepreneur - Matrix Concepts
Eddie Cole who was the founder and president of Answer Products, Protaper, Manitou, SIXSIXONE, Tag Metals, Sunline and Filtron. He's been in the motocross industry as long as anyone today and continues to innovate and produce great products. His latest project is the Matrix Concepts line that he's formed with the help of his sons Chadd and Cameron Cole.
Mike Hopkins, Founder and Partner - Crazy Money Productions
Crazy Money Productions provides the motocross industry with innovative and creative videos. They began by filming and making videos for themselves and friends. Once the public started seeing the videos and word got around they decided to start covering events and riders. Recently they are producing the Privateer Outdoor Journey filming the whole adventure building up to the Outdoor Nationals bringing the fans, families and sponsors something in return for their support.
Geoff May, AMA Pro SuperBike Racer - Amsoil Erik Buell Racing Team
Geoff May picked up his first podium this season at Infineon Raceway on day two of racing with a third place finish. May has been working with Erik Buell to get the EBR superbike on the podium and they succeeded at Infineon. Ironically, so did his teammate Danny Eslick with his third place finish on day one of racing at Infineon. May currently sits in sixth place overall in the series.
Michael Barnes, AMA Pro XR1200 Racer - Bartels' Harley-Davidson
The seasoned road racing veteran grabbed his first win of the season in the XR1200 class and currently sits in second place behind his teammate, Tyler O'Hara. Barnes has been on the podium at all three races this season, going three, two, one so far.
