Pro Circuit’s Tommy Searle had an excellent weekend in Sevlievo. He won his qualifying race, but had a small mishap in his first moto and finished third. He bounced back from the setback, and left the competition in the dust in the second moto as he easily piloted his Team Florida Monster Energy Kawasaki Pro Circuit machine to his first overall win of the season. He currently sits second in MX2 point standings. Teammate, Joel Roelants, finished third overall in MX2, and is currently third in MX2 point standings.
In MX1, Pro Circuit's Christophe Pourcel finished second overall and is currently fifth in MX1 points standings.Teammate, Sebastien Pourcel, finished 10th overall and is currently 15th in MX1 point standings. The Pro Circuit crew now heads to the third round of the 2012 FIM World Motocross Championship, which will be held April 29 at the GP of Italy, in Fermo.
Monster Energy Supercross rolled into Seattle this past weekend for the 15th round of the 2012 Monster Energy Supercross Championship series. The Supercross Lites West Region kicked into gear again, and everyone was eagerly awaiting the continuation of the championship battle between Dean Wilson and Eli Tomac. It was apparent from the first lap that the race would be a heated one. Aggressive passes were made, and Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki’s Wilson ended up on the ground as a result. He remounted and, despite an apparent shoulder injury, finished the race in seventh. He sits four points out of the lead in the Supercross Lites West Region point standings, and is currently being evaluated by physicians to determine the extent of his injury. Pro Circuit sponsored Star Valli Yamaha rider Ryan Sipes ripped a holeshot in the Supercross Lites West Main Event and held strong for his first Supercross Lites West Main Event win of the season. Congratulations, Ryan!
Monster Energy Kawasaki's Jake Weimer earned another podium in the Supercross Class. He finished third, and currently sits fifth in the Supercross Class point standings. Teammate, Ryan Villopoto, has already clinched the 2012 Monster Energy Supercross Class Championship, and was excited to share his success with his hometown crowd in Seattle. Unfortunately, his night was cut short due to an early-race crash that prevented him from finishing the race. It was later learned that Villopoto would be sitting out for the remainder of the year due to injuries sustained from that crash.
Monster Energy Supercross continues this weekend at Rice-Eccles Stadium in Salt Lake City. Good luck to all Pro Circuit riders!
