Dungey, Bogle, Wharton, S. Lusk on DMXS Radio Tonight
February 29, 2012, 6:40pm
Red Bull KTM’s Ryan Dungey scored his second win of the season in front of a massive sellout crowd at the Georgia Dome on Saturday, and made up precious points in the championship battle. Only ten points now separate the Ryan’s as the series reaches the halfway point in St. Louis this weekend with the always defining Daytona SX on deck. We’ll catch up with RD from his Florida compound for his perspective on the season and new team thus far.
GEICO’s Justin Bogle let his riding make the headlines this week after an eventful opening round in Dallas. His solid performance and podium were impressive on the technical track in Atlanta, but the signature one-leg whips were just icing on the cake. We always look forward to hearing his soulful and seductive voice that amazingly comes out of that skinny kid.
Rockstar Energy’s Blake Wharton must have felt like the opening race was a supercross version of bumper cars after being slammed all over the track. The usually quiet and calm Texas version of Slash from Guns N’ Roses made sure to hold his ground this week and had the speed to match. We’ll try to get him to push back enough hair so he can actually get a cell phone up in that owl’s nest for the interview tonight.
Shane Lusk will be joining us in the studio tonight so we might have to actually behave a little bit.
DMXS Radio will be down in full support of the 3rd Annual Ricky Carmichael Daytona Amateur Supercross Championship on Sunday, March 11 and Monday, March 12, 2012. The new two-day format will give the riders more time on the iconic track and really make the most of the Daytona experience. Click on www.MXSports.com for more information, or to register. We look forward to seeing you down there!
We want to welcome on ONE Industries as a new show sponsor for the upcoming race season and we will be offering up tons of giveaway swag to our listeners during the show. Make sure to visit www.OneIndustries.com for their new 2012 gear lineup!
DMXS Radio also thanks our wives, Racer X, MX Sports, GoPro Cameras, OGIO, Concept2Rowers, Coach Robb Beams, MotoSport.com, Vurb Moto and Skull Candy for their continued support!
